Scrapbooking with Papertrey Ink's "Star Prints"

I've been trying to work some scrapbooking in between my card making and mixed media / altered projects. I have soooooo many old photo's that I want to get done.  This one brings back so many memories.  My little guy is 24 now.  He was a tough little guy.  He loved basketball and baseball and would have played football if we would have let him.  He was often the smallest on the team, but tough and determined.

I have a lot of old 12 x 12 scrapbook paper to use up.  This set is from 2007 ( My Mind's Eye  "Confetti" ).  It would be easier to just run out and buy new stuff with all the cool coordinating embellishments they make these days.  But I knew with the combination of some of my newer tools I could pull it all together.  At least for this layout.

Papertrey Ink's "Star Prints"  and Sweet n' Sassy scalloped star border die ( Hearts and Stars Scalloped Border Die Set )coordinated perfectly.

Creative Belli Sketch Challenge #94

It's time for another Creative Belli Challenge. 
This week our challenge is to use the sketch below and make it patriotic.  Creative Belli is all about inspiring you to use some of those old, neglected supplies you have laying around.  I used this patriotic paper I have had for years and the PTI stamp set I have had for probably a year and never used.   So here is what I came up with :

While I was in patriotic mode, I decided to create another card using one of Creative Cuts and More's window cards.  CC&M produces a fun selection of window cards using various shapes.  You can check them out  HERE.   You could have alot fun creating with these!
